The Program Coordinator/Digital Literacy Instructor, who must be based in Sonoma County (CA), will be energetic and enthusiastic about providing quality digital literacy training to our learners and collaborating with team members to develop and improve digital literacy programs. We are looking for a personable, hard-working team player who is open to learning new things, able to work on their own initiative, and enjoys working in a fast-paced work environment. Instruction will take place online and in-person at a variety of training sites in Sonoma County and remotely with other CTN clients. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver Digital Literacy Training 

  • Provide digital literacy training to adults virtually and/or in-person at partner sites in Sonoma County and remotely in the SF Bay Area 
  • Follow an established curriculum to provide 1-on-1 or group training to help adults develop skills to safely and confidently use technology 
  • Adjust curriculum to address identified needs within a student cohort 
  • Translate curriculum and documents from English to Spanish 

Community Outreach Support and Public Relations 

  • Act as CTN representative and liaison within CTN learner communities 
  • Survey community members to understand needs, interest and availability to participate in the program 
  • Communicate class schedule and send reminders to assure participants attendance 
  • Use social media to share information about CTN programs and raise awareness 
  • Contribute content to the CTN website and monthly e-newsletter 

Service Delivery Coordination 

  • Serve as primary contact for programs 
  • Organize and attend meetings; take and share notes with Partners 
  • Coordinate class schedules at partner locations 
  • Perform site visits at partner locations to ensure proper class set-ups 
  • Configure devices based on set-up guidelines 
  • Prepare training materials and documents for trainers and learners 
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements 
  • Address issues or escalate to Program Manager 

Data Management & Reporting 

  • Ensure that all setup / follow-up and instruction hours are reported for each session 
  • Complete and document online assessment of individuals to determine computer skills and training needs 
  • Collect and report additional data about programs, services, and volunteers, as needed by CTN 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • 2 years of college/university-level study or a Bachelor’s degree
  • Two years of experience delivering tutoring or training to older adults

  • Act as CTN representative and liaison within CTN learner communities (depending on instructor’s language proficiencies)

This position will manage all CTN digital literacy trainers across all programs, including contractors and staff trainers for virtual and in person training.

The training manager coordinates with program managers who direct a variety of initiatives requiring digital literacy training, understands their needs, and assigns trainers to programs based on their capacity and skill set to ensure timely delivery and quality training. This position requires deep experience in people management and development, the ability to create and evolve processes and adoption of different tools to streamline scheduling, ensure timely service delivery with high quality, and provide a platform for scaling and sustainability.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage a team of digital literacy trainers, staff and contractors, to provide excellent digital literacy training serving key target audiences
  • Develop trainers and evaluate their work in a timely manner and on a regular basis.
  • Partner with program managers to assign trainers to programs in a timely manner and to insure quality outcomes
  • Promote regular and ongoing opportunities for all staff to give feedback on program operations.
  • Ensure that all program training activities operate consistently and ethically within the mission and values of Community Tech Network
  • Leverage technical tools and processes to provide transparency and efficiency in the planning, evaluation, and execution of all programs at scale.
  • Provide effective and inspiring leadership, as well as stewardship, of Community Tech Network by being actively involved in program design, execution and tracking outcomes for all programs and services delivered both in-person and virtually.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills
  • Computer and internet proficiency and a willingness to learn new technology tools. Specifically, proficient with office productivity programs like Word, Excel, Google Docs and Sheet, web browsers, Google Mail and Calendar
  • At least three years of experience managing people
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds, including homeless individuals and marginalized communities
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Five years employment history in the nonprofit sector
  • Three years of experience managing people

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Full time position classified as professional exempt
  • Salary: $54,080 annually DOQ
  • 90% of health, dental, and vision insurance paid and 50% coverage for dependents
