Community Tech Network (CTN) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with offices in the San Francisco Bay Area and in Austin, TX. Our mission is to transform lives through digital equity. We believe that access to the Internet is a human right, and that those without the skills to use a computer are at risk of social and economic disadvantage. Public services and essential information are increasingly moving online, and many people are unable to access those resources. Many organizations are working to spread Internet connectivity and distribute devices, but access to technology is only a partial solution. Connectivity needs to be coupled with digital skills training that is relevant and delivered in a way that won’t intimidate the adult learner.

CTN is entering a phase of tremendous growth and this new position is critical to that growth. The Digital Equity Staffing Manager will recruit, onboard, train, and manage all CTN digital literacy instructors, both contract and staff, across all programs for virtual and in-person training. CTN currently has 18 staff and contract instructors working in seven languages; instructor resources increase every day to meet growing demand for our services. The Digital Equity Staffing Manager is critical to this growth

The Digital Equity Staffing Manager is a vital part of both the Program and Administration teams, working with program managers on a variety of initiatives delivering digital literacy training virtually and in-person. The Staffing Manager supports program and organization goals, deliverables, and resource allocations to recruit and assign instructors to deliver quality training virtually and in-person. This position requires experience in people management and development, data evaluation, the ability to create and evolve processes and the adoption of different tools to streamline scheduling, ensure timely service delivery, and to provide a platform for scaling and sustainability.

The Digital Equity Staffing Manager will also lead and coordinate the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access Working Group and its efforts to create a culture of belonging for our diverse staff and contractors.
